Join us online at the annual Faculty Technology Institute to share experiences, reflect on lessons learned, and make plans for the return to fully in person teaching at LC in Fall 2021. To accommodate social distancing, this year’s FTI will be primarily a virtual event with a limited on-campus presence. We are still finalizing the schedule which will include a selection of 30-minute and 1-hour workshops covering traditional FTI topics, a dedicated LMS track, and daily general session.
Since we are meeting virtually, please contact edtech@lclark.edu or send us a Google Chat if you have questions or technical difficulties accessing the Zoom session. Lewis & Clark Community members can access this handy virtual meeting directory for a list of meeting links.
Session 3 (of 3) of the Team Collaboration Tools set. These sessions can be taken separately, or in conjunction with one another.
With so much going on in the world, things can be a little discordant! With communication and collaboration tools like Discord, having the chance to easily connect with others using text chat, voice chat, and video chat can sound like music to your ears. In this session, I will talk about Discord, a communication platform for gamers that's turned into a multi-million dollar social and academic collaboration platform that's helped book clubs, departmental team members, and family members connect in real time over the internet.
